Carolyn Stripling

Carolyn Stripling, age 85, passed away at her home on December 14, 2022 in Knoxville, TN. Carolyn was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and The Harry Orio Sunday School Class. A graduate of Alamo High School in 1955, she attended UT Martin and later graduated from Union University as a Registered Nurse. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jack Clements Stripling; her parents, Martin and Sue Gaba; sister, Eloise Couch; brothers, Dr. William Gaba, Joseph Wilton Gaba, Grayson Gaba, Dr. James Gaba, and John Robert Gaba; step son, Dr. Mike Stripling; brother-in-law, Jon Stripling; nephews, Eddie Gaba and Brett Thornton; and cousins, Margie Martin and Ann Garrett. Carolyn was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church of Lexington, TN. Services and visitation to be held at the church on Saturday, December 17th with visitation of friends and family starting at 2PM and Memorial Service at 3PM followed immediately by interment in Lexington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be given to First United Methodist Church in Lexington at 27 East Church St. Lexington, TN 38351.
