Betty Jean Roberts, age 91, passed away Wednesday, December 23,2020 in Lexington. She was retired from South Central Bell and Wal-Mart. She was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by a daughter, Merelyn Eads, (Greg), 4 grandchildren, Kara Courtwright (Mike), Shane Brantley (Gina), Brent Eads (Elize), and Angela Rowsey (Keith), 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, a brother, Raymond Priddy, sisters-in-law, Nelle Reed and Billie Coffman, and brothers-in-law, Jerry Roberts (Wanda) and Bobby Roberts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe D. Roberts, her parents, William and Vashtie Graves Priddy, a brother, Billy Priddy, a sister, Dot Dodd, sisters-in-law, Dean Priddy, Shirley Roberts, and Clara Roberts, and brothers-in-law, Guy L. Roberts and Gilbert Coffman. Graveside funeral services will be Saturday, December 26 at 1PM at the Lexington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 931 North Broad St. Lexington, TN. 38351. The family requests anyone attending the service wear a mask and practice social distancing. Reeds Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
