Daisy Katherine Coats James, age 99, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020. She is survived by 2 sons, David R. Swindell and Billy James; one daughter, Barbara “Jean” Reynolds; 5 grandsons, 7 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Winnie Walters Coats and Orlean K. Coats; her late husband’s Aaron Swindell and Herman James;1 son, Billy Samuel Swindell; a brother, Fred Coats; and two sisters, Mary Coats Summer and Ruby Coats Lett. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 28 at 1PM at Reed’s Chapel in Lexington. Visitation will be on Monday from 4-9PM and on Tuesday from 10AM until service.
