Eugene Lewis, age 93, of Savannah formerly of Lexington, passed away Saturday July 25,2020 at his home. He was a retired business owner and a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Sharon Fifer, Wayne Lewis, Pat Lewis, Tim Lewis, Steve Lewis, Stanley Lewis, Terry Lewis, Jan Dornellas, Douglas Lewis, and Julie Mobiglia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Nell Lewis, his parents, Garfield and Lula Scates Lewis, 2 sisters, Alene Hodgin and Alma Lewis, 6 brothers, Vonnie Lewis, Hooper Lewis, Tim Lewis, Rex Lewis, Elmer Lewis, and Lawton Lewis, and a nephew, Gary Hodgin. Funeral services will be Sunday August 2 at 2PM at Reeds Chapel with burial to follow in the Henderson County Memory Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be Sunday 12PM until services. The family requests due to the current Covid-19 situation that everyone attending the visitation and services wear a mask.
