Hugh Allen McNaughten, age 59, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 in Lexington. He was an employee of Elite Restoration and was the host of the television show, Southern Woods and Water, for almost 20 years. He was also the host of the Southern Woods and Water Radio show in Lexington. Hugh was filled with the love of Christ as he never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back. He had a wonderful quality of lifting others up with words of encouragement. He knew that every day that was spent on this earth was a gift from our Maker and he lifted up our Lord during his show in appreciation of the outdoors that he loved so much. One of his greatest joys was spending time with Debbie while enjoying the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Debbie McNaughten of Lexington, 2 sons, Eric Hare (Tiffany) of Lexington and Ryan Hare of Lexington, 1 sister, Vicki Howard of Beaumont, Texas and many grandchildren that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Joe and Betty McNaughten, grandparents, Lottie and Louis Finklea, and mother in law, Helen McFarland. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 24 at 4PM at Reed’s Chapel in Lexington with burial to follow in Rock Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4PM-9PM and Tuesday from 9AM until service.
