Max Brady Scates, age 88, passed away Saturday, March 6,2021 in Jackson. He was retired from Brown Shoe Company. He is survived by his wife, Louise Weatherford Scates, 5 sons, Max Gary Scates of Hendersonville, James Randy (Vicki) Scates of Reagan, Gregory Edward (Theresa) Scates of Linden, Dana Dee (Vickie) Scates of Lexington, and Richard Brady (Mary Ann) Scates of Lexington, 2 sisters, Mary Lou Davis and Jean Byrd both of Lexington, 13 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brady and Ruby McKay Scates, and a brother, Edward Scates. Funeral services will be Monday, March 8 at 1PM at Reeds Chapel with burial to follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 3PM-9PM and Monday 10AM until service.
